innovationBoth Switzerland and Japan enjoy a respectable position in the field of contemporary jewelry.
The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and the Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry have been launching an exchange program that aims at connecting both creative communities. Through workshops and exhibitions, twenty Swiss and Japanese artists highlight the significance and diversity of both countries’ contemporary jewelry. First, ten Japanese artists are invited to participate in an exhibition at the Galerie Viceversa, Lausanne, in January 2020.
The second part of the exhibition will be inaugurated shortly in Tokyo on 12 April at the Gallery Hole in the Wall in the Shibuya district. It will present the Swiss selection as well as the Japanese artists who exhibited at Gallery Viceversa. Several Japanese officials and artists have announced their participation in this event which is unique to Japan. Although there won’t be an opening, you are cordially invited to come and engage in a dialogue at this artistic encounter.
